Mayhem in Nairobi, As Police Kill 38 Protesters

Kenya’s President William Ruto has come under heavy criticism from human rights organizations and opposition parties in his country for police brutality against protests which have swept the streets of Nairobi and other major cities.
The protests which started last year over tax hike have met with police heavy handedness and according to local media, so far 38 protesters have been killed prompting calls for the president’s resignation
On Thursday, July 10, the state president William Ruto ordered the police to shoot in the leg protesters who are found looting and said firmly that he would not tolerate anarchy in his country.
With this declaration, Ruto’s reputation and presidency has come under the spotlight with many calling him a dictator
