Vice President Dr Usi lauds outgoing Indian High Commissioner

This morning, the Vice President Dr Michael Biswick Usi bid farewell to the Indian High Commissioner to Malawi Mr Subbiah Gopalakrishnan who has completed his tour of duty after four years.

The Vice President commended the outgoing High Commissioner for his people-centric approach to the relations with Malawi, in particular the facilitation of an artificial limbs fitting camp and donation of 1000 tonnes of rice towards people affected by Cyclone Freddy a few years ago.

“On behalf of the government and people of Malawi, I would like to thank you for your service to the country. Your mission focused on welfare of Malawians and enhancing bilateral relations with the country, and this is commendable,” the Vice President said.
