Musician Emmie Deebo known for her song ‘Chilipo’ has dropped her first album titled ‘First Born’. The 12 track album was produced by Macia, along with Richard Billy, Nyanda Made It, BFB, Taktik and Cuff B. The album tells Emmie Deebo’s journey through life, with songs like Katatu, Zinyama, Kumatikhala, Phuli, Hustle Vibes and Mtima. Several tracks include collaborations with musicians such as Gemini Major, Lulu, Dan Lu, Sean Morgan and Bee Jay, adding variety to the sound. The collection is available on several streaming platforms. As part of album’s promotion, the award-winning artist has organized a concert in Lilongwe this month, where fans will experience the album live.

Namadingo, the Headliner for the Kabula Festival in Blantyre.

Organizers of Kabula Festival say preparations are now at an advanced stage for the music festival and international artists such as Prince Kaybee and Sun EL musician will arrive in this week. Festival Director Prince Chikweba told Journalists in Blantyre that people should expect an unforgettable experience and they have arranged enough security. Chikweba says, Patience Namadingo ,Zeze Kingston, Theresa Phondo, Fada Moti, VJ Ice and Praise Umali will also perform at this festival slated for 6 to 8 June this year. Prince Kaybee will perform on Friday, Sun EL musician on Saturday and Patience Namadingo is the headliner for the festival.
